1. Who We Are
Ekklesia PH is operated by Firestarter Inc. ("we", "us", "the platform"). These terms cover your use of the Ekklesia PH mobile application and any member-facing part of the website.
You accept these terms when you join a church's workspace or continue to use your account. How we handle personal information is described separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
This service is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account; the service is not directed to children.
2. Your Relationship With Your Church
When you join a church's workspace, you are joining that church's space. The church decides what member information to record, what to publish to its members, and which of its people can see what. Your church is the controller of that information and we are its processor — we hold and display it on the church's instructions.
That means requests about your member record — what is held, who can see it, and correcting it — go to your church first. We will help a church answer those requests, but we do not decide them.
You keep ownership of what you post. You give us permission to host and display it so the app works, and you give your church the access its administrators are configured to have.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- post anything unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that you do not have the right to share;
- post another person's information without a lawful basis for holding it, including photographs of minors without their guardian's consent;
- upload files that are not yours to upload, or that contain malware;
- impersonate someone else, or misrepresent your role in the church;
- attempt to reach another church's workspace, or interfere with the service.
What is appropriate in your church's workspace is your church's call. A church may remove content or suspend your access, and those decisions are between you and your church.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
You can leave at any time. Delete your account from inside the app (Profile → Delete Account) or from the web at /account-deletion. Deleting your account removes your profile and sign-in; records your church holds — including giving records kept for its own tax and reporting purposes — are the church's and are handled as our Privacy Policy describes.
That is different from a data subject request, which is a formal request about the personal information held about you. Those go to privacy@ekklesiaph.com, and the Privacy Policy explains how they are handled.
5. Our Responsibility to You
We will keep the platform available and working to a reasonable standard, keep the security practices described in our Privacy Policy, and provide support.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that information posted by your church or other members is accurate or complete. The platform does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not process payments in the app. Money you give your church is handled entirely by your church — we are not a party to it and cannot refund it.
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount your church paid us for the twelve months before a claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
6. Reporting Content and Consequences
If you see something on the platform that breaks these terms — an announcement, an event, a listing, a file, a church page, or another member's profile — you can report it from the screen that shows it. Choose the reason that fits and, where the reason asks for it, describe the problem.
Reports are confidential. We do not tell the person or church you reported who reported them. Your report is seen by the platform's administrators and by nobody else, and it stays on record even if you later close your account, so that a decision it contributed to cannot be undone by leaving.
We review reports and decide what happens. Content that breaks these terms may be removed from view. It is kept rather than destroyed, and we record what state it was in beforehand, so a removal can be reconsidered and reversed. Where a church's content is involved, the church that published it is responsible for it, and repeated breaches lead to a warning, then a temporary pause on publishing new content, and then a decision by a person. We do not close an account automatically.
You can see the reports you have filed and where each one stands from your own account. Reporting something you know to be false is itself a breach of these terms.
7. Changes and Contact
We may update these terms as the platform changes. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version; we will give reasonable notice of material changes, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
Questions about these terms, or about the information held about you, go to privacy@ekklesiaph.com. General support goes to support@ekklesiaph.com.
